What happens to your data on this website, in plain words. The short version: no cookies, no tracking, and nothing leaves this page unless you start it yourself.
1. Who is responsible
Responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:
Stephanie SelmerDammer Weg 31
63773 Goldbach
Germany
Email: s.selmer@stephanieselmer.com
2. The short version
- This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser (no local storage, no session storage).
- There is no tracking, no web analytics, no advertising, no social media plugins and no newsletter sign-up.
- The fonts are hosted on this server. Your browser does not connect to Google or any other font service.
- Data is only processed beyond the technical minimum when you do something yourself: load the podcast player, send an Assessment request or write me an email.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM, Neue Medien Münnich, Inhaber René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you visit a page, the web server automatically records technical data in so-called server log files: your IP address, date and time of the request, the requested file, the page you came from (referrer), the amount of data transferred, and information about your browser and operating system.
I process this data to deliver the website, to keep it stable and to protect it against misuse. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data is not merged with other data and is only stored as long as it is needed for these purposes. I have a data processing agreement with the hosting provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
The connection to this website is encrypted (HTTPS).
4. Cookies and browser storage
This website uses no cookies and does not use your browser's local storage or session storage. The monster in the corner of the homepage is a picture with a text. It appears each time you open the homepage and stores nothing, so it cannot remember whether you have seen it before.
5. Fonts
The fonts (Bricolage Grotesque and Inter) are stored on this server and delivered from there. No data is transmitted to Google or other third parties for this.
6. Podcast player (MyPodOps)
The podcast "Ownership Happens" is hosted by MyPodOps. The player is not loaded automatically. First you see a note with a button ("two-click solution"). Only when you click the button, your browser loads the player from the servers of MyPodOps.
Then the following happens: your browser connects to mypodops.com and to a server of the provider in the USA (operated on Amazon Web Services infrastructure), loads the player script and retrieves the podcast data. This transmits, among other things, your IP address and technical data about your browser and device to the provider. When you play an episode, the audio file is delivered from the provider's servers. What the provider does with this data is described in its privacy policy: mypodops.com/privacy. According to its privacy policy, the provider is PodOps Media Inc.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you give by clicking the button. The transmission to the USA can also take place in a country without a level of data protection comparable to the EU. By clicking, you explicitly consent to this transfer (Art. 49 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by simply not loading the player again or by leaving the page. I do not store anything about your click myself.
If you do not click, no connection to MyPodOps is established.
7. Contact by email
If you write to me, I process your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your message concerns a possible contract, and otherwise my legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). I delete the correspondence when your request is settled and no statutory retention obligation applies.
8. Assessment request
If you request an offer for the Ownership Assessment, I process the data you enter in the form: name, email address, company size, industry (optional) and your agree or disagree answers to the three statements. The request is stored on this server, and a personal offer page is created automatically. The offer page contains your name, the company size tier, the price and your answers. It is not linked anywhere and is not indexed by search engines, but can be opened by anyone who knows its web address, which is a long random string that I send only to your email address. The offer is sent to you by email from this server. The request log of the server also contains your email address.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you give with the checkbox in the form, and the implementation of pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Name, email address and company size are required to prepare the offer, industry is optional. The data is processed on the server of the hosting provider named above and is not passed on to other third parties. If no contract results, I delete the offer page and the related data at the latest 12 months after your request. If a contract results, statutory retention periods apply. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by email to s.selmer@stephanieselmer.com, and I will then delete the data.
9. Links to other websites
This website contains links to other websites, for example to publishers or professional networks. As long as you do not click such a link, no data is transmitted to these sites. After a click, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and, where processing is based on legitimate interests, the right to object (Art. 21). If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). To exercise your rights, an email to s.selmer@stephanieselmer.com is enough.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
11. Changes
If the website changes, for example because a new function is added, I will adjust this privacy policy. Status: September 2026.
